World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) has announced that it is investigating a “vulnerability of [a] database” containing over three million users’ names, addresses, email addresses, dates of birth, educational background, ethnicity, earnings and children’s ages and genders. The data included social media tracking and posts from WWE stars and fans.
According to the company, it is working with Amazon Web Services and security firms to investigate the incident. “Although no credit card or password information was included, and therefore not at risk, WWE is investigating a vulnerability of a database housed on Amazon Web Services, which has now been secured.”
